enter the same password again to confirm it and click OK.
After you assign an administrative password to the website, the Administer Website dialog box
appears, allowing you to configure the website's settings and permission groups.
Configuring sitewide settings
When you define a website with Contribute, you can also specify settings that apply to all
Contribute users who connect to the website. Use the Sitewide Settings dialog box to configure
these sitewide settings:
•
E-mail address and password of the website administrator
•
Number of rollback versions to retain
•
Index filenames
•
Advanced web server configurations
Changing the website administrator
You can change the administrator of a Contribute website by changing the e-mail address
associated with the site. This is the e-mail address that users will use to contact the administrator
of the site should they need assistance.
Note: Changing the e-mail address of the website administrator does not change the administrator password. If you
want to change the administrator password, see "Changing the administrator's password" on page 154.
To change the administrator e-mail address:
Do one of the following:
1
•
If the Administrator Password dialog box appears, enter the administrator password and click
OK.
•
If the site has no administrator, a dialog box appears and asks if you want to become the
website's administrator. Click Yes; then enter and confirm an administrator password for the
website and click OK.
The Administer Website dialog box appears.
Click Sitewide Settings.
2
The Sitewide Settings dialog box appears.
Enter a new e-mail address in the Administrator contact e-mail text box.
