Setting general website permissions

The General permissions category lets you specify a starting (home) page that users in the selected
group see on entering the website.
To set general website permissions:
Click the General category on the left side of the Permission Group dialog box. (See
1
"Accessing the Permission Group dialog box" on page 168.)
When you initially defined the website, you specified the website's home page. If you want
2
users in the selected group to have a more specific home page within the website, enter the
URL in the Group home page text box, or click the Browse button to locate the home page.
You can choose to specify any page within the website as the home page for the specified
group. For example, the home page of a website is typically http://www.mysite.com/
index.htm. However, you might want to have members of a group directed to a page within
the website, such as http://www.mysite.com/marketing/marcom.htm.
