Providing your name and e-mail address

The user name and e-mail address identify users and the web pages they are working on. This
information appears to other users of your website when you're working on pages in the website.
If you become the first administrator of the website, the name you enter here is shown to users as
the name of the website administrator.
Note: Your name and e-mail address will be seen only by other users connecting to your website using Contribute
or Macromedia Dreamweaver MX. This information is not sent to Macromedia or anywhere else.
To provide your contact information:
Enter your name and e-mail address.
1
Note that the name you choose should be unique; if you use the same name as another user,
Contribute can't prevent simultaneous edits.

Providing your website's URL

This screen of the Connection Wizard allows you to provide the web address (URL) of your
website. The web address you specify should be the root of the website. That is, the highest point
in the directory structure that a user is allowed to edit. In some cases this may be the entire
website (for example, www.mysite.com). However, in certain cases you may want to restrict a
permission group to editing only a subsection of the website. For example, if the permission
group you are defining a website for will only edit web pages in the marketing section of the
website, the highest point you might give them access to may be www.mysite.com/marketing.
