You can upgrade the application of the U200 series devices through GigabitEthernet 0/0 only.
Step2 Enable the FTP service.
# Enable FTP server.
[H3C] ftp server enable
# Add FTP username and password.
[H3C] local-user guest
[H3C-luser- guest] service-type ftp
[H3C-luser- guest] password simple 123456

The FTP service is enabled after the authentication and authorization of the FTP server are
configured. The FTP server supports multi-client access. A remote FTP client sends a request to
the FTP server. The FTP server executes an action accordingly and returns the execution result to
the client.
After you configure the FTP server authentication and authorization, you need to set the user level
to 3. Otherwise, the system displays that "You have no rights to store files" when you restore the
backed-up file to the device. For configurations of user levels, refer to the accompanying
documentation.
Step3 Enable the FTP client program on the PC.
In the following example, the FTP client program is the built-in Windows XP FTP client:
Enter ftp in the DOS window:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>ftp
ftp>
ftp> open 192.168.80.10
Connected to 192.168.80.10.
220 FTP service ready.
Description
Enable the FTP server function.
Create a local user, and enter user view.
Set the service type that can be used locally to FTP.
Configure the user password.
Set the user level to 3.
