VERTICAL ADJUSTMENT OF THE
HEADLIGHT BEAM
NOTE
According to the standards in force
in the country where the vehicle is used, there
can be different specific procedures for
inspecting the beam.
Italian provisions:
For a quick beam inspection, place the
vehicle on level ground, 32.81 ft (10 m)
away from a vertical wall. Switch on the low
beam, sit astride the vehicle and make
sure that the light spot on the wall is just
below the horizontal line of the headlight
(about nine/tenths of overall height).

Using an adjustable wrench, turn the
screw (1).
By TURNING IT CLOCKWISE, you set
the beam downwards.

Before changing a lamp, place the
vehicle on the center stand and the
ignition switch to "
minutes for it to cool down. Wear clean
gloves or use a clean, dry cloth to
handle the new bulb.
Do not leave fingerprints on the bulb,
since these may cause its overheating
and consequent breakage. If you have
handled the bulb with bare hands, clean
it with alcohol to avoid any damage.

(3), two parking lights (4) (only
versions).

LOW / HIGH BEAM BULB
To change the bulbs:

Place the vehicle on the center stand,
see page 55 (PLACING THE VEHICLE
ON THE STAND).

Loosen the two screws (5).
◆
Remove the cover (6), (when refitting,
pay attention to the reference teeth).
◆
Remove the bulb, with its wiring, turn it
clockwise by 1/4th of a turn.
