3.4. Setting Policies

The Validator AVS software allows you to set security policies to comply with company
policies and/or 21 CFR Part 11 regulations. Allowing users more flexibility on how to
handle the password system, lethality D-Value and the calibration warning.
As the System Administrator, you can adjust policies that:
Active Directory™* Connected: Displays whether an active directory™*
connection is active with the console.
Allow Guest Login: Check the box to allow login of guest accounts to the
console.
User Type: Select from the dropdown what type of User is default for
Active Directory™*.
Sync Policies, Audit and Active Directory™* Users: Select the browse
button to locate a folder on the console that has Policies, Audit and
Active Directory™* Users to SyncIn, when located, select the SyncIn
button to complete the sync.
Require minimum length passwords for all user accounts.
Set passwords to expire after a defined number of days. The user will be
prompted to change their password once their current password has
expired. By default, passwords are set to expire after 180 days. The
software will display the password expiration date to the user at login
