2. Slide the PCI backplane board away from the PCI cage's I/O card openings and remove
it from the PCI cage. See Figure 1-28. Note that the PCI backplane board has two
elongated slots cut in it that allow the card to slide in grooves located on the top of two
PCI cage standoffs. The PCI backplane board will stop sliding when it reaches the
opposite end of the elongated slot. At this point, the slot has been enlarged to allow you
to lift the PCI backplane board out of the PCI cage.
