Before operating this dehumidifier, ensure you have read and understood
all instructions.
2.1 OPERATIONAL PRECAUTIONS
WARNING! To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury to persons or property, follow
these steps:
● Damaged supply cords must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or
similarly qualified personnel to avoid hazards.
● Unplug the appliance during maintenance.
● Always operate the unit from a power source with the same voltage, frequency and
rating as indicated on the product identification plate.
● Always use a properly grounded power outlet.
● Unplug the appliance when cleaning or when not in use.
● Never use the appliance with wet hands. Keep water out of the appliance.
● Do not immerse or expose the unit to rain, moisture or any other liquids.
● Whilst in use, do not leave the appliance unattended. Do not tilt or turn the appliance
over.
● While in use, do not unplug the appliance.
● Do not unplug the appliance by pulling the power cord.
● Avoid using extension cords or adapter plugs.
● Avoid placing objects on the appliance.
● Do not climb or sit on the appliance.
● Never insert fingers or other objects into the air outlet.
● Never touch the appliance's air inlet or aluminium fins.
● Never use the appliance if it has been dropped, damaged or shows signs of malfunction.
● Avoid using chemicals to clean the appliance.
● Keep the appliance well away from fires and inflammable or explosive objects.
● Install the appliance by following national wiring regulations.
● Do not use any methods or cleaning products, which are not recommended by the
manufacturer, for defrosting or cleaning.
● Store the appliance in a room where there are no continuous sources of ignition, such as
open flames, operating gas appliances or electric heaters.
● Store the appliance in a way that prevents electrical damage from happening.
● Do not pierce or burn the appliance, even after use.
● Be cautious that refrigerants may be odourless.
● Protect pipework from physical damage, and do not install it in unventilated spaces
smaller than 4m².
● Ensure all national gas regulations are observed and followed.
● Do not obstruct any required ventilation openings.
● Store the appliance in a well-ventilated area, ensuring the room size corresponds to the
specified operating area.
Anyone working on or breaking into a refrigerant circuit must have a valid
certificate from an industry-credited assessment authority, demonstrating
their competency in handling refrigerants safely according to recognised
assessment specifications.
