Vertical Installation Inside Masonry
Chimney
The appliance must be installed in accordance with the
applicable local laws or the standards such as ULC-S635, ULC-
S640. Follow the chimney manufacturer's instructions to install
the chimney.
For safety install a stainless-steel liner inside the masonry
chimney. The masonry chimney flue must be greater than the
liner. The liner must have the same diameter than the appliance
and a cleaning access (see maintenance section in manual)
The chimney connector (flue pipe) shall not pass through an
attic or roof space, closet or similar concealed space, or a floor,
or ceiling. Where passage through a wall, or partition of
combustible construction is desired, the instructions shall
require that the installation conform to CSA B365, Installation
Code for Solid-Fuel-Burning Appliances and Equipment.

Outside Vertical Installation

The appliance must be installed in accordance with the
applicable local laws or the CAN/CSA-B365. Follow the
chimney manufacturer's instructions to install the chimney.
