■ Scan Type
Scanning is a versatile function that can automatically search for signals. A scan makes it
easier to locate stations to contact or listen to, or to skip unwanted channels or frequencies.
D VFO scan
The VFO scan searches for signals within the specified
frequency range.
Scan type
Program scan
Repeatedly scans the selected Program
(P00 ~ P24)
Scan range.
Program Link
Sequentially scans the Program Scan
(P-LINK0 ~ 9)
ranges. The links are set on the MENU
screen.
([MENU] > SET > Scan > Program Link)
Band
Repeatedly scans the frequency band.
All bands
Repeatedly scans the entire band.
Auto MW
When a signal is received during a VFO
scan, the frequency is automatically
stored in an Auto Memory Write channel
group (000 ~ 199).
D Memory scan
The Memory scan searches signals on the preregistered
memory channels.
Scan type
Favorite
Sequentially searches through all
Favorite memory channels.
Current Group Scans the memory channels that are
entered in the same group that is
currently selected.
Group Link
Sequentially scans the memory groups
which are set to link on the MENU
screen.
Category/
Scans the memory channels in the
Group
selected category group.
ALL
Repeatedly scans all memory channels.
D Tone scan
The Tone scan searches for signals with tone frequencies or
DTCS codes from stations using the Tone Squelch function.
L A Tone scan is usable for only FM/FM-N in the VFO or
Memory scan.
