PROBLEMS
(SYMPTOMS)
No welding output in any
mode. The auxiliary output is
normal. The engine operates
normally.
No auxiliary power at one or
more receptacles. Weld output
is normal and the engine
operates normally.
If for any reason you do not understand the test procedures or are unable to perform the test/repairs safely, contact the
Lincoln Electric Service Department for electrical troubleshooting assistance before you proceed. Call 1-888-935-3877.
POSSIBLE AREAS OF
MISADJUSTMENT(S)
OUTPUT PROBLEMS
1. If the correct OCV is present
at the weld output terminals,
check the welding cables,
connectors, work clamp,
electrode holder, etc. for loose
or faulty connections.
2. Check for damaged
conductors or faulty
connections on the heavy
current carrying leads that
connect the output terminals to
the chopper module boards
and the output rectifier bridge.
Also check the shunt and the
choke assemblies for damage
and faulty connections.
1. Check for loose or faulty
connections at the output
receptacles.
2. Check for tripped circuit
breaker and/or tripped GFCI
receptacles.

RECOMMENDED
COURSE OF ACTION
1. Check gate leads 23 and 25
on both chopper module
boards and weld control board
power leads 13 and 14 for loose
or faulty connections. See
Wiring Diagram.
2. Perform the Chopper
Module Boards Function Test
Procedure.
3. Perform the Stator Voltage
Test Procedure.
4. Perform the Output Rectifier
Bridge Test Procedure.
5. Perform the Weld Control
Board PWM Gate Signal Test
Procedure.
6. The weld control board may
be faulty.
1. Perform the Stator Voltage
Test Procedure.
2. Check the wiring between
the auxiliary receptacle and the
stator.
