Super IO Configuration (Available when your system supports
this feature)
The following information is displayed.
Super IO Chip
Serial Port 1 Configuration
Serial Port 1
Select Enabled to enable serial port 1. The options are Disabled and Enabled.
Device Settings (Available when "Serial Port 1" above is set to Enabled)
This feature displays the base I/O port address and the Interrupt Request address of serial
port 1.
Change Settings (Available when "Serial Port 1" above is set to Enabled)
This feature specifies the base I/O port address and the Interrupt Request address of serial
port 1. Select Auto for the BIOS to automatically assign the base I/O and IRQ address
to serial port 1. The options are Auto, (IO=3F8h; IRQ=4;), (IO=2F8h; IRQ=4;), (IO=3E8h;
IRQ=4;), and (IO=2E8h; IRQ=4;).
Serial Port 2 Configuration
Note: It can be "Serial Port 2 Configuration" or "SOL Configuration" based on your
system support.
Serial Port 2 ("SOL" or "Serial Port 2" based on your system support)
Select Enabled to enable SOL or Serial port 2. The options are Disabled and Enabled.
Device Settings (Available when "SOL/Serial Port 2" is set to Enabled)
This feature displays the base I/O port address and the Interrupt Request address of Serial
Port 2 or SOL port.
Change Settings (Available when "SOL/Serial Port 2 is set to Enabled)
This feature specifies the base I/O port address and the Interrupt Request address of serial
port 2. Select Auto for the BIOS to automatically assign the base I/O and IRQ address
to serial port 2. The options are Auto, (IO=2F8h; IRQ=3;), (IO=3F8h; IRQ=3;), (IO=3E8h;
IRQ=3;), and (IO=2E8h; IRQ=3;).
Serial Port 2 Attribute (Available for Serial Port 2 only)
Select SOL to use serial port 2 as a Serial Over LAN (SOL) port for console redirection.
The options are SOL and COM.
