8 Chapter 1: Before you begin
• Quadrature decoder. Features a quadrature decoder that can decode input from
a rotary encoder with quadrature output.
• Feature browser. Uses Matrox Intellicam to display and set its various GenICam
standard and extension features, their descriptions, and their possible values in an
expandable tree list.
Similar to Matrox Iris GT, Matrox GatorEye is fully integrated in an IP67
enclosure.
Inspecting the Matrox Breakout Box
package
You should check the contents of your Matrox Breakout Box package when you
first open it. If something is missing or damaged, contact your Matrox
representative.
Base package
• Matrox Breakout Box.
• A digital I/O and power cable. One end is a M12 17-pin connector. The other
end is a DB-25 connector. The cable is designed to connect your Matrox camera
to your Matrox Breakout Box.
Available separately
Your Matrox Breakout Box module is compatible with third-party plug-in
G4 Opto 22 I/O modules, or other compatible products.
These optional plug-in I/O modules provide high noise rejection, the ability to
safely connect high or low voltage equipment (either AC or DC) to your
Matrox camera using opto-isolation, and transient-free "clean" switching. For
