30 Chapter 2: Connecting Matrox Breakout Box
3. Connect the third-party device to the Opto 22-isolated output connector
associated with the plug-in base in which you have installed your G4 Opto 22
output module. The following table describes which Matrox Breakout Box
Opto 22-isolated output connector is associated with which plug-in base for
G4 Opto 22 output modules.

Note that each Opto 22-isolated output connector relies on having a
G4 Opto 22 output module plugged into the associated plug-in base to provide
opto-isolation for your Matrox Breakout Box.
Refer to the G4 Opto 22 output module's data sheet for instructions on how to
connect the third-party device to the appropriate Opto 22-isolated output
connector. The positive wire-terminal on the Matrox Breakout Box's output
connector corresponds to pin 1 on the G4 Opto 22 output module. The negative
wire-terminal corresponds to pin 2. These wire terminals are connected to the pins
of the plug-in base internally.
In the example below, the G4 Opto 22 output module is connected to plug-in
base J10. Accordingly, the third-party device is connected to auxiliary (output)
signal 4 of the Matrox Breakout Box module. Note that the following connection
to the third-party device is only an example connection; the required connection
is dependent on the G4 Opto 22 output module.
