Connecting to a
PNP-compatible PLC
device
To forward the state of an auxiliary output signal from your Matrox camera to a
third-party device through the direct output connector of your Matrox
Breakout Box module, perform the following:
1. Connect the digital I/O and power cable of your Matrox camera to your Matrox
Breakout Box module by following the steps in the Powering and connecting your
Matrox camera section, earlier in this chapter.
2. Connect an open-wire cable from the third-party device to the relevant
wire-terminal of the direct output connector.
- When connecting to a PNP-compatible PLC device, add an external pull-up
resistor between the third-party device and your Matrox Breakout Box module.
Connect the voltage input wire from your external pull-up resistor to the 24 V
wire-terminal. This connection will power your external pull-up.
