– Center the required weight on the weighing pan and close the draft
shield.
– After the calibration weight has been stored, the balance will return to the
standard weighing mode.
– After completing the adjustment, reset the code » 9--1 « in the balance
operating menu.

Overwriting the Internal Calibration Weight

The internal calibration weight should normally only be overwritten using
the PSION server or the SARTOCAS program for PCs and laptops, since the
factory setting of the internal calibration weight is highly accurate.
Only in the case of an emergency (e.g., no service software available)
should you perform the overwrite procedure using the balance's overwrite
program.
Before overwriting the internal calibration weight, you must correctly adjust
the span.
The balance must warm up for at least 6 hours!
There are various ways of overwriting the internal calibration weight of
Basic balances:
plus
1. As described in this manual, or
2. Using the Sartorius MC1 Server (version 4.4 and later), or
3. With the SARTOCAS program for PCs and laptops.
– Make sure that the menu code »1 9 3 - internal calibration accessible - «
is set (see page 27, "Balance Menu Code Settings").
– Slide the menu access switch to the right. It is accessible via an opening
on the back of the balance.
– If you have not done so already, perform external calibration/adjustment
(see page 19).
– Turn off the balance by pressing e.
– Turn the balance back on by pressing e while simultaneously holding
down the q key until the readout shown on the left appears.
– Press the t key to tare the balance; then press q to activate the
overwrite function.
– The built-in, motorized calibration/adjustment weight is applied, then
removed automatically; the weight is stored; and the balance then returns
to the standard weighing mode.
– Press the q key to check the external span adjustment once again.
