OCP network adapters installed after the server is powered on do not support hot swapping. To
replace such an OCP network adapter, first power off the server, replace the OCP network
adapter, and then power on the server.
For operating systems that support hot swapping of OCP network adapters, use the component
compatibility lookup tool at http://www.h3c.com/en/home/qr/default.htm?id=66.
For operating systems that do not support hot swapping of OCP network adapters, power off the
server, replace an OCP network adapter, and then start up the server.
Standard PCIe network adapters
To install a standard PCIe network adapter, a riser card is required. For more information about riser
card and PCIe module compatibility, see
NOTE:
For ease of connecting cables for network adapters, do not install PCIe network adapters to slot 1,
slot 8, or slot 15 as a best practice. Due to structure restrictions, the NIC-GE-4P-360T-B2-1 standard
PCIe network adapter does not support slot 1, slot 8, or slot 15. For information about slot locations,
see

GPU modules

For information about configuration guides for the power cords of GPU modules, contact Technical
Support.
As a best practice, install GPU modules of the same model to the server.
To install dual-width GPU modules, install them as shown in
installation guidelines:
Install GPU modules to PCIe slots with x16 bus bandwidth.
If the number of GPU module is equal to or greater than 3, install one GPU module to each
riser card as a best practice.
If the number of GPU module is equal to or greater than 4, install the
RC-2FHHL/2FHFL-4U-G6 riser card to riser connector 1/2 and the RC-2FHFL-R3-4U-G6
riser card to riser connector 3.
NOTE:
If the number of GPU modules is equal to or greater than 4, to ensure correct riser card
installation perform the following operations:
Replace the type of the connector between the system board and the processor mezzanine board.
Move down the processor mezzanine board.
