4. The starter motor turns, but the 
engine fails to start
With the key switch set to "I", the 
display turns on and pressing the 
"START / STOP ENGINE" button 
turns the starter motor, but the 
engine does not start.
5. Battery warning light and digits 
flash. (740 IOX, 540 IX)
"BATT" appears. (340 IX)
Attempt to start the machine; 
the machine does not start, the 
"Battery" warning light and "Digits" 
start flashing indicating a voltage 
of less than 12V.

The "Battery" warning light and 
"Digits" start flashing indicating a 
voltage of over than 12V.

"Digits" indicates a voltage higher 
than 12V; an overvoltage is present.
The battery is over the overvoltage 
trip threshold.
If the condition persists:
Battery charger fuse blown.
Defect battery.
Battery charger is defective.
Carburation fault.
Forward speed too high in relation to 
the cutting height.
Insufficient recharging.
Engine lubrication problems.
- Fuel has run out.
- Try restarting the engine.
Cutting means sharpening is
reduced.
High advancing speed in relation to
the height of the grass to be cut.
The cutting means assembly is full 
of grass.

Open the petrol tap.
- Check the level in the tank.
- Check the fuel filter.
- Check that the spark plug cap is 
securely fitted.
- Check that the electrodes are clean 
and have the correct gap.
Loading the battery.
Replace the fuse.
Replace the battery.
Contact an Authorised Service Centre.
