Hot Start function

Mode of functioning:
For a 0.5 sec duration, the welding current is increased to a certain value. This value is
one third higher than the pre-set welding current (Fig.6)
Example: A welding current of 90 A has been set on the setting dial. The Hot-Start
current will be 90 A + (90 A / 3) = 120 A
Important! In cases where the pre-set welding current is 105 A or above, the Hot-Start
current is limited to 140 A.
Anti-Stick func-
When the length of the arc is shortened, the welding voltage may drop so far that the rod
tion
electrode starts to stick.
Burn-out is prevented by the Anti-Stick function. If the rod electrode begins to stick, the
power source switches the welding current off after 1.5 seconds. After the rod electrode
has been lifted from the workpiece, the welding operation can be resumed without
difficulty.
