Mains connection
If your version of the machine does not come with the mains cables and plugs ready-

mounted, these must be mounted in accordance with your national regulations and
Standards. For details of fuse protection of the mains supply lead, please see the Tech-
nical Data.
The TP 1100 and TP 1200 are completely suitable for being run on generator power,
provided that the apparent power delivered by the generator is at least 10 kVA.

Note! Inadeqately dimensioned electrical installations can lead to serious
damage. The mains supply lead, and its fuse protection, must be dimensioned
accordingly. The technical data shown on the rating plate shall apply.
Warning! Operating the equipment incorrectly can cause serious injury or
damage.Do not use the functions decribed here until you have read and com-
pletely understood all of the following documents:

Warning! An electric shock can be fatal. If the machine is plugged into the
mains electricity supply during installation, there is a high risk of very serious
injury and damage. Only carry out any work on the machine if

the mains switch is in the „O" position, and
-
the machine is unplugged from the mains
Plug the welding cable into current socket (3) or (4), depending on the type of
electrode, and turn it clockwise to latch it
Plug the machine into the mains
Caution! Risk of injury and damage from electric shock. As soon as the mains
switch is in the „I" position, the rod elctrode in the electrode holder is LIVE.
Make sure that the rod electrode does not touch any persons or electrically
conducting or earthed parts (e.g. the housing etc.)
Shift the mains switch (1) into the "I" position
Select the amperage with the welding-current dial (6)
Start welding
