Section 1 Introduction Thank you for purchasing the newly released PECO Z-Trimmer Pro model number ZT-5000. We took all the great features our customers have grown to love, and improved them for greater durability and performance. The Z-Trimmer Pro is an attachment for your riding mower, zero-turn mower, stand on mower or tractor, that allows you to trim and mow at the same time. -

Figure A Section 2 Mounting Instructions Mark and Drill Mark and Drill Holes NOTE: The Z-Trimmer Pro is designed to fit most styles Holes of mowing decks. We recommend using 4 mounting Base Plate holes to secure the Z-Trimmer Pro to the mowing deck. The style of mowing deck on your machine will determine which mounting holes you will use. -

Edging Trimming (cont.) To position the trimmer head for edging, loosen the To activate trimmer head flip the switch to the ( I ) star knob shown in Figure B, rotate the trimmer position. To de-activate the trimmer head flip the switch head into the position desired for edging and re- to the ( O ) position. -

Pull each end taught and adjust if uneven. Refer to Figure A. Any 0.095”- 0.135” line is acceptable however to order more of the included trimmer line P#(ZT-0129), contact PECO at (800) 438-5823. Insert Line Into Both Holes Section 6 Battery Box Mounting The Battery Box is designed to fit most styles of mower ROPS however it can be mounted anywhere that is suitable. -

Section 7 Connecting the Battery With the Z-Trimmer Pro and Battery Box secured ensure the power switch is in the off position and connect the Battery (ZT-0127) to the Battery Extension Harness (ZT-0130) aligning the flat edges of both terminals and tightening the securing nut. -

Section 8 Tips and Recommendations — Inspect the Z-Trimmer Pro before each and every use. Examine the base plate to ensure the Z-Trimmer Pro is tightly secured to your machine. Make sure the power cable is secure. Check all moving parts for damage or obstruction. -
