SAFETY STANDARDS
This manual contains fundamental instructions to be respected during installation,
use and maintenance. It must absolutely be consulted by the installer and by all
qualified personnel, designated by the system manager, who will supervise its
operation. Furthermore, it must always be available at the place of use of the
pump.
All safety instructions contained in this manual shall be observed, as well as any
other national regulation on accident prevention, and any internal regulation on
the use of machineries and on occupational safety.
For the installation, use and maintenance of the pump / electric pump, the
personnel in charge of the operations must be trained on the general accident
prevention regulations and on the local safety regulations and/or instructions for
use. The system manager is responsible for their observance.

General
This machine is intended for handling and increasing the pressure of liquids,
within the limits indicated later in this manual. The machine consists of a hydraulic
part (pump) and an electric motor, connected by a rigid joint. The pump can only
be driven by an electric motor.
The machine has been built according to the most advanced and recent
techniques, in full compliance with the standards in force and has been subjected
to strict quality control. This manual will help you understand its operation and
help you understand its possible applications.
The user manual contains important recommendations necessary for the
correct and economic operation of the machine. It is necessary to respect these
recommendations in order to guarantee reliability and duration and to avoid risks
deriving from improper use.
The machine must be used for the applications and within the limits described
in the following paragraphs. Activities related to the handling, installation, use,
maintenance and disposal of the product present risks for human safety and the
environment that cannot be eliminated constructively.
The main residual risks are electrical (electrocution) and mechanical (constriction
or dragging by moving parts, injuries caused by sharp edges, abrasions or
crushing). All operations must be carried out with the utmost attention only
by expert, professional staff, equipped with appropriate personal protective
equipment and suitable tools, when the machine is disconnected. Failure to
comply with the instructions provided in this manual and proper working
practices will increase health risks.
The Manufacturer declines all responsibility in the event of an accident or damage
caused by negligence, improper use of the machine or failure to observe the
instructions described in this manual or for use in conditions other than those
permitted.
In the supply conditions, the machine has guards against moving parts (suction
filters) or live parts (cable covers) during normal operation.
The user must not disassemble the machine, either completely or
partially, or make any changes or tampering with the product. If removed
during installation operations, the protections must be restored
immediately.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
During installation, routine and extraordinary maintenance, decommissioning
and disposal, use the personal protective equipment (PPE) specified below.
Additional PPE may be necessary, depending on the working conditions.
By properly using PPE, any residual health risks may be reduced.

Wear steel toe cap safety shoes, insulated from the ground
Wear a respirator if there is a risk of toxic, irritating or suffocating fumes
Suitable clothing
During maintenance operations and in any case when the machine is
running in various modes, including its normal operating mode, avoid any
clothing or accessories that may get entangled in the moving parts of the
machine.
1 PRELIMINARY INSPECTION
1.1 Delivery and packaging
The machine is supplied in its original packaging, which includes this manual, and
must remain packed until installation. The packed machine must be stored away
from atmospheric agents. Remove the machine from the packaging and check its
integrity. Also check that the plate data correspond to the desired ones. Use the
instructions given in this manual to read the data plate. For any anomaly, contact
the supplier immediately, reporting the nature of the defects.
If in doubt about the safety or integrity of the machine, do not use it and
contact a professional assistance centre.
Comply with the disposal of packaging according to local regulations in force.
