Using the Drawbars in the Syn Instrument Type

When the Syn Instrument Type is selected, you can use the Drawbars to control and shape the sound. The
following paragraphs explain this in detail.

Osc2 Pitch

The first brown Drawbar allows you to adjust different functions depending on the waveform
selected. The data chart below shows the options you may select.
Waveform
Triangle,
A "Sub-Oscillator is included in the Syn Instrument Type which allows two pitches to play with
Sawtooth,
a single keypress. The first brown Drawbar allows you to adjust the pitch of the Sub-Oscillator.
Square
0: no sound.
1 to 3: detuned gradually.
4 to 8: shifted to one octave by semitones.
Pulse
The first brown Drawbar allows you to adjust the Pulse Width.
0 (50%) to 4 (approx. 75%) to 8 (approx. 98%).

Filter Cutoff

The second brown Drawbar allows you to adjust the cutoff frequency of the filter. By controlling
high-frequency component, the sound becomes brighter or mellower.

Resonance

The first white Drawbar allows you to adjust the emphasis of the sound around the cutoff
frequency. By increasing the emphasis, the sound becomes more distinctive.
