MIDI Local Control

There may be occasions when you want to play the sounds from a connected MIDI device without also
playing the M-solo's internal sounds. This Parameter allows you to select whether the M-solo's internal
voices will play when keys are played. This is "Local Control."
To set the MIDI Local Control Parameter, do the following:
1.
With the power to the instrument "ON," press the SYSTEM button.
instrument will start flashing.
2.
Press the PERCUSSION FAST button. The LED of the PERCUSSION FAST button will stop
flashing and light continuously. The other LEDs will continue to flash.
3.
Use the bottom octave of the keyboard to turn Local Control "ON" or "OFF." The data chart
below shows the options you may select.

The M-solo will play both its internal sounds and the sounds from a connected MIDI
device.
On (1)
The M-solo will play only the sounds from a connected MIDI device and the M-solo's
internal sounds are silenced.
Also, the V-3 LED of the VIBRATO & CHORUS Mode will light.
Press the key which represents the value you want.
4.
After you have made your selection, press the SYSTEM button to turn it "OFF" (LED not lit).
The MIDI Local Control of the M-solo will now function according to the setting you selected.
NOTE: If MIDI looping or sound duplication occurs with an external device with a MIDI Echo
function, set this Parameter to 0 ("OFF"). The M-solo's internal sounds will then play in response
to Note On/Note Off messages received via MIDI.
