    2 Basic Network Installation Introduction This chapter explains how to make the basic settings to install the WorkCentre 4118 on a network. The physical connection is Ethernet and the addressing protocols are provided by TCP/IP. The following information is provided: Information Checklist .

    Ethernet Port The Ethernet port is the default interface used on the WorkCentre 4118. NOTE: The Ethernet port cannot be disabled. Ethernet Port Setup If the speed setting of the Ethernet port needs to be changed perform the following steps: Connect the device to the network outlet or cable.
