CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Follow these cleaning and maintenance
indications to prevent any deterioration of
your hood due to time and use:
• Wait until the appliance is switched off
and not hot to carry out the cleaning
and/or maintenance.
• Use a cloth, soap and lukewarm water
to clean the surfaces and then dry them
with a soft, clean cloth.
• Do not use any scrubber, nor any
abrasive cleaning product, or any
product that may contain caustic soda,
acids, chlorides or solvents. Do not use
high pressure or steam jet cleaners
either.
• Be careful when cleaning the surface
of the control panel, if water gets inside
there may be electric shock risk.
• Do not use any cleaning products
with high levels of caustic alkaline
or acids. More specifically do not use
any commercial or industrial cleaning
products to clean any aluminium part,
such as the anti-grease filters of the
extraction hood.
• Clean very carefully the inside of the
appliance.
Note: Consider the warnings indicated in
the cleaning products.
Cleaning the appliance
• Proceed to clean as indicated below,
according the surface type:
• Clean the stainless-steel surfaces
with a cloth and hot water with some
soap and rub in the direction of the
grain.
• Clean the lacquered surfaces with a
32
cloth and hot water with some soap
• Clean the aluminium surfaces with a
soft cloth and some window cleaner.
• Clean the plastic parts with a soft
cloth and some window cleaner.
• Clean the glass parts with a soft cloth
and some window cleaner.
• Dry with a soft cloth.
Cleaning the control panel
• Be especially careful with this area to
prevent any water from getting inside.
Cleaning the anti-grease aluminium filter
• It is recommended to clean it every 2
months, depending on the use and the
grease build-up.
• Remove the filter by pressing the fixing
tab (help yourself with the other hand
so that the filter does not tilt, and the
grease accumulated does not spill)
• If your filters are dishwasher safe, you
can put them in the dishwasher to clean
them (Check this information related
to your model in table 01 on page 10).
Otherwise never clean them using this
method.
• If you are going to clean them in the
dishwasher, select a temperature below
70ºC, use a domestic use soap and put
the filters in the lower tray (vertical or
leaning, if possible)
• If you are going to clean them by hand,
soak them in warm water and mild
detergent (not concentrated) for 3
minutes and then use a brush to clean
them. Later, rinse the filter and leave it
to dry over an absorbent surface.
• Do not use any water softener, powder
or cream abrasives, anti-grease spray,
acid or lye based products.
• Filters may lose some colour after
washing them a few times. This does
not alter their performance.
• When the filters are not installed you
can take the opportunity to clean the
accessible internal parts with a cloth.
• Lastly, put the filter back in the hood,
the same way you removed it.
