Installing the adapter
(See image 08 on page 8)
Note: Adapter not supplied with all models.
If your hood is fitted with an air outlet
adapter and you wish to fit a hose of a
different diameter to that of the hood, place
the adapter in the top hole of the hood
and fix it with adhesive tape. Then fit the
flexible tube.
Electrical installation
The electrical installation must be done by
a qualified person who can comply with all
regulations.
This cooker hood must be properly
connected to an earthed socket. Disconnect
electrical power before wiring.
If the power cord is damaged, it
must
manufacturer, its service agent
or similarly qualified persons
to avoid a hazard.
Installation of carbon filters
See pictures 10 on page 9.
• Move away aluminium filters to access
to the inside of the appliance. To remove
the grease filter, push in on the metal
latch tab. This will disengage the filter
from the hood. Tilt the filter downward
and remove (Fig.1).
• Attach the charcoal filters on both sides
of the motor by turning them clockwise.
(Fig.2 and 3)
• If you want to remove the carbon filters
from the hood, you must rotate them
counterclockwise. (fig. 3)
• Install the aluminum filters again after
fixing/removing the carbon filters.
The extractor Hood is now in air circulation
mode. There is no special mode or knob to
be activated.
Filter change depends on the
frequency of use of the Hood.
As a general rule, if you use the
be
replaced
by
Hood frequently, you should change the
filter after 3 - 6 months.
USING THE APPLIANCE
This extraction hood has been designed
for domestic use only, to remove the
cooking smoke from the kitchen.
• Never use the hood for any purpose
different to what it has been designed
for.
• Never leave unattended naked flames
while the hood is in operation.
• Adjust the intensity of the flame so that
it is directed to the centre of the pan;
make sure the flame does not surround
the outside of the pan.
• You must watch constantly whenever
you are frying food, overheated oil
might catch fire.
• The extraction hood must not be used
the
by children or anyone not having the
pertinent knowledge to use it correctly.
Normally, your hood will have two
operating modes(See image 05 on page 6):
• Operation with air outlet: the air
is aspirated, cleansed through the
aluminium filters and released through
the pertinent pipes to the open air.
• Operation with air recirculation: Air
is aspirated, cleansed and purified
through the aluminium filters and the
carbon filters (supplied separately) and
it is expelled again to the room.
EThe air cannot be diverted to a
chimney used for the residual
gases of the appliance, for
burning gas or other fuels (this
is
recirculation appliances).
