Place tne bearing holder in a press and remove the
bearing.

Press in a new bearing.

Place the bearing holder in a vise with soft jaws
and install and tighten a new outer race lock nut
to the specified torque \/alue.
TORQUE: 90-110 N·m
19.0-11.0 kg-m. 65-80 ft·lb)
Torqui wrench scale reading:
80.:-100 N·m (8.0-10.0 kg·m. 58-73 ft·lbl
Stake the new lock nut.
COUNTERSHAFT INSTALLATION
NOTE:
The countershaft and driven gear must be
replaced as a set if thev or the gear case or
the bearing require replacement.
Place the countershaft and countershaft bearing
holder into a press. Press the countershaft into the
bearing.
NOTE:
Place the threaded end of the pilot into the
countershaft.
Place the adjustment shim over the bearing holder.
NOTE:
If the countershaftldriven gear, bearing or
gear case are replaced, a new adjustment ~im
must be selected (page
