CRANKSHAFT/PISTON
Install the connecting rod cap bearing insert.
Apply molygdenum disulfide grease to the connect-
ing rod bearings.
Coat the cylinders.
pilton
rings/grooves, and pistons
with oil.
Install the rod and piston assemblies into the
cylinders from the top of the crankcase. Be sure
each assembly is relUrned to its
original
position as
noted during removal.
NOTE:
The piston intake "IN" marks should be
facing each other as shown.
Compress the piston rings with a ring compressor
and insen. the piston and rod into th"e cylinder.
NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the pistons or
(1I'9S during assembly.
To prevent damage to the crank pin jour-
nals. slip short sections of rubber hose oller
the rod bolts befor, installation.
