CAUTION:
The power-control button on the device and the power switch on the power supply do not turn off the
electrical current supplied to the device. The device also might have more than one power cord. To
remove all electrical current from the device, ensure that all power cords are disconnected from the
power source.

Procedure
Step 1.
Make preparation for this task.
a.
Remove the top cover. See
b.
Remove all the PCIe assemblies. If the configuration comes with PCIe riser 2 and internal
drives, remove all the internal drives, and lift the internal drive backplane before removing PCIe
riser 2. See

Remove the processor air baffle. See

If applicable, remove the air flow sensor board. See

Remove the intrusion switch. See

If applicable, disconnect the cables from PCIe 8, 9, 10, 11 connector on the system board, and

Disconnect the heat sink detect switch cable from the system board.

Loosen the two screws that secure the cable wall; then, lift the cable wall to remove it.
