Connections are made by operating the relays at the crosspoints between X and Y lines allowing single X-Y
connections, or X-X connections using a Y line as a path, or Y-Y connections using an X line as a path. Whenever
a connection is made on the X-axis, the corresponding isolation switch has to be operated to route the signal to the
front panel X connector. In order to loop thru a signal from the X-axis front panel connector to the X-axis Loop Thru
connector it is necessary to operate the relevant isolation relay.
The following pages give very simple examples using two of the provided drivers: the Direct I/O driver piplx, and the
IVI compliant driver pi40iv.
