5) CONTROLS AND CONNECTIONS

5.1) Front panel
1) ON/OFF Switch to turn on and off the LTG 410.
2) Pilot lamp when lit indicates that the power is energized.
3) Potentiometer to adjust the weld current allows the welding current adjustment from 5 to 400
ampers.
4) Digital ampermeter/voltmeter allows the reading of the current and weld voltage during the
welding. When used for TIG welding it keeps the values used in the last welding performed.
When used for welding with stick electrodes it keeps the values, and shows the voltage values
empty.
5) Potentiometer to adjust the slope up time allows the adjustment of slope time of the current in
the begining of the weld from 0,1 to 15 seconds. This does not apply when the arc opening is
done through liftarc.
6) Postflow potentiometer allows the time adjustment in which the shielding gas flows through the
torch nozzle after the welding is finished.
7) Potentimeter to adjust slope down time allows to adjust the descending time of the current in the
end of the welding from 0,1 to 15 seconds.
8) Switch to select TIG or stick Electrode process.
9) Switch to select the arc opening mode in the TIG process It allows to select the arc opening
when:
Liftarc -
in this mode the electric arc opening is done in the following way:
a) Touch the tungsten electrode in the piece to be weld.
b) Press the torch trigger,
c) Lift the torch slowly keeping the torch trigger pressed and the arc is then started between the
electrode and the piece.
