Precautions for Connecting Cables

4.1.4 Outdoor Unit Installation Requirements

Precautions
Issue 13 (2023-08-20)
NO TICE
Avoid elbows and ensure that the connection between the indoor and
outdoor units is the shortest.
After determining the best pipe route between the indoor and outdoor units,
calculate the number of the components that cause local resistance loss, for
example, elbows, and convert them into the equivalent length to straight
pipes.
The total length of pipes connecting the indoor unit and outdoor unit (L)
equals to the equivalent straight length of elbows and connectors plus the
length of the straight pipes connecting the indoor unit and outdoor unit.
Pipes cannot be routed from the bottom on a concrete floor.
Connections of all power cables, control cables, and ground cables must
comply with local electrical regulations, and the cable specifications should
comply with local cabling specifications.
For details about current in full load, see the device nameplate.
Only qualified electrical installation personnel are allowed to connect cables.
Before connecting cables, wear insulation and protective equipment, such as
protective gloves.
All smart cooling products must be reliably grounded.
Cables cannot be routed from the bottom on a concrete floor.
Ensure that the air intake section and air exhaust section of the condenser are
unblocked. Install the outdoor unit in clean areas that are away from
residential areas.
Wrap thermal insulation layers for pipes connecting the indoor unit and
outdoor unit.
Do not hold the copper pipe or electric control box to transport the outdoor
unit, and keep the fins intact.
Route in pipes from the top and out from the bottom when connecting
condenser pipes.
The horizontal or vertical error should not be more than ±5° when the
outdoor unit is installed horizontally or vertically. When the outdoor unit is
vertically installed, the electric control box and its waterproof connector
cannot face upward. The following figure shows the installation method
mode.
