1 ) First, turn off the UPS.
2) Then, remove the cover of the maintenance bypass switch on the panel.
3) Turn the maintenance switch to the "BPS" position.

3- 5 . Parallel Operations

1. Initial startup of parallel systems
Please ensure that all running UPSs are parallel models and have the same configuration.
1) Turn on each UPS in AC mode (See sections 3-4(1). Then, measure the voltage
output of a single-phase inverter for each UPS with a multimeter. Calibrate the inverter output voltage
by configuring the inverter voltage adjustment (See the SETTING
è
CALI
Inverter CALI) screen in the LCD menu until the difference in inverter output voltage of each
UPS is within 1V or less.
2) Turn off each UPS (see sections 3-4(7)). Then, follow the wiring procedure in sections 2-4.
3) Remove the port cover of the parallel shared current cable on the UPS, connect each UPS one
by one with parallel wires and shared current cables , then put the cover back on.
4) Turn on the parallel system in AC mode :
a)
Turn on the input line breakers of each UPS. If using dual input units, also enable the external
bypass input breaker. After all UPSs enter bypass mode, measure the output voltage between
the two UPSs for the same phase to make sure the phase order is correct. If both voltage
differences are close to zero, it means that all connections are met. Or vice versa, please
check if the cable is connected properly.
b)
Turn on the output breaker of each UPS.
c)
Turn on each UPS in turn. After a while, the UPS should enter AC mode synchronously and then,
the parallel system is now complete.
5) Turn on the parallel system in Battery mode:
a)
Turn on the battery disconnect (available on long-range models only) and the external output
disconnect of each UPS .
b)
Turn on any UPS. A few seconds later, the UPS will enter battery mode.
c)
Turn on the next UPS in sequence until all UPSs enter Battery mode and add them to a parallel
system. Now the parallel system is completed.
If you would like to obtain more information regarding parallel operation, please contact your supplier or
service center for detailed parallel operation instructions.
2. Add new units into the parallel system
1) You cannot add new units into a parallel system while the whole system is running.
You need to disconnect the load and shut down the system.
2) Make sure all UPSs are parallel models, and follow the wiring reference in sections 2-4 .
3) Install a new parallel system as per sections 3-5.
3 . Remove the unit from the parallel system
There are two methods for removing units from parallel systems:
First method:
1)
Touch "CONTROLè" "Turn Off UPS" and select "Yes" to turn off UPS. Then, the UPS will enter Bypass
mode or "No Output Mode" mode with no output.
2) Turn off the output breaker of this unit, and then turn off the input breaker of this unit.
3) Turn off the battery breaker (for long-range models) and disconnect the parallel current and
share wires. And then disconnect the unit from the parallel system.
Second method:
1)
If the bypass is abnormal, you cannot remove the UPS without interruption . You have to cut the
load and close down the system .
2) Make sure the bypass setting is enabled d on each UPS and then shut down the system . All UPSs
will switch to Bypass mode . Remove all maintenance bypass covers and set the maintenance
switch from the "UPS" position to the "BPS". Turn off all input breakers and battery breakers in a
parallel system.
