Identify the link: you want to check,
Alternately loosen each nut on a single link about half a turn at a
time. This avoids one side of the link being freed at a greater rate
than the other and thereby locking or distorting the channel links.
Loosen the SMA link nuts
On a dual channel instrument replace the links in the same location
when boards are NOT being returned for service. This ensures that
instrument which is calibrated continues

Testing the Channel Link

Using a resistance meter:
1. Check for continuity of <In from each end on the inner cable
2. Check for continuity
of < I n
3. Check that there is no continuity between the inner and the
outer shield
If the link is faulty, replace it. If it is OK, retain it
after the next test.
