Removing the rear panel

Removing the A3 MPU assembly and the A4 power control assembly
Note
Assemblies
1. Remove the top and left panels and the shield,
as
described on page 1-4.
2. Remove the rear panel securing screws and remove the rear panel.

1. If necessary, disconnect from the A3 assembly the ribbon which
lays across the left rear edge of the card cage cover.
2. If necessary iincouple the connector located at 521 on the A3
assembly.
1. Free the A3 lrom the power supply unit by removing the six
screws located in the six metal pillars on the A3 assembly and
uncoupling the connection at location 521 on the A3 assembly then
pull the assembly back and lift
2. Turn the whole power supply unit upside down in order to access
the A4 and
14 power supply assemblies. The A4 assembly is the
A
small assembly which stands vertically and slots into the large A14
assembly.
3. Lift the A4 assembly from the A14 assembly. There are pin
connectors between these two assemblies, located at each side of
the bottom edge of the A4 assembly, which need easing apart.
There is a black plastic slot on the cage wall which the edge of the A4
card must fit into when being relocated.
