The front view of the server varies by model. Depending on the model, your server might look slightly
different from the illustrations in this topic.

The following illustration shows the control, connectors, and LEDs on the front panel of the server. To locate
the front panel, see "Front view of the server" on page 13.

The optical drive bay 2 is for a secondary optical drive.
The optical drive bay 1 is for an optical drive or a tape drive.
You can lock the front door to protect the HDD cages from unauthorized access.
The front door is available on some models.
The number of the installed drives in your server varies by model. The vacant
drive bays are occupied by dummy trays or covered by an EMI-protective panel.
When you install drives, follow the order of the drive bay numbers.
