Measuring the dimension of the rear wheel unloaded

Checking the static sag of the shock absorber

Preparatory work
Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. (
Main work
Position the sag gage in the rear axle and measure the
distance to marking SAG on the rear fender.
Sag gauge (00029090200)
Note the value as dimension
F03630-10
Finishing work
Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. (
Measure dimension
Hold the motorcycle upright with aid of an assistant.
Measure the distance again between the rear axle and mark-
ing SAG on the rear fender using the sag gage.
Note the value as dimension

The static sag is the difference between
measurements
Check the static sag.
