Turn clockwise to increase the damping; turn counter-
clockwise to reduce damping when the shock absorber
rebounds.
Preparatory work

Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. (
Main work
–
Measure the vertical distance between the rear axle and a fixed
point, such as a marking on the side cover.

Note the value as dimension

Finishing work
–
Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. (

Measure dimension
–
Hold the motorcycle upright with aid of an assistant.
–
Measure the distance between rear axle and fixed point again.
–
Note the value as dimension
