4 Installation

4.4 Moving the instrument table with the devices

1. Use a screwdriver to remove the grub screw from the hole by
which the foot switch is to be secured.
The adapter plate for the foot switch is non-removable. The
upper plate on which the foot switch is mounted can be
rotated for ergonomic adjustment of the foot switch.
2. Place the adapter plate of the foot switch at the desired
position on the table foot so that the corrugated sides of the
adapter plate and table foot interlock and the holes in the
adapter plate and table foot are aligned.
3. Rotate the upper plate until the assembly hole is aligned with
the two holes.
4. Screw the adapter plate onto the table foot using the screws
supplied.
5. Screw the foot switch onto the adapter plate using the
enclosed two screws.
6. Rotate the foot switch into the desired working position.
4.4 Moving the instrument table with the devices
Mechanical risk from moving parts
Injuries may be caused by the instrument table lowering.
When lowering the instrument table always ensure that no

objects or body parts are within the movement range of the
table top.
Read the user manual of the instrument table and follow its
u
warning instructions.
1. Carefully lower the table to the lowest position.
2. Lift the table slightly by the narrow side of the tabletop on the
slit lamp side and move it on its casters. Use both hands to lift
the table.
