5 Resting ECG
 After heavy artefacts or lead off, the displayed heart rate may not be reliable.
 The safety notes at the beginning of this book must be read and fully understood
before taking an ECG recording.
 The CARDIOVIT FT-1 device is CF classified
fully isolated. During the ECG recording, ensure that neither the patient nor the
leading parts of the patient connection nor the electrodes (including the neutral
electrodes) come in contact with other persons or conductive objects, even when
these are earthed.
 Do not operate the unit if the earth connection is suspect or if the mains lead is
damaged or suspected of being damaged.
 If an external electronic device (e.g. a PC) is connected to the CARDIOVIT FT-1,
use the potential equalisation stud for earth protection.
If another format than the default format is set for the automatic printout, the printout
can differ from the format displayed on the screen.

For the preview, the following parameters can be freely programmed (before start of
the recording):

Saved recordings can be displayed and printed in another format at any time. For
further information on how to define the format, see
