3.0 Facing and Finishing
3.1 Mantel Requirements
WARNING: All minimum clearances to combustible material MUST be maintained.
•
Combustible Mantel Projections: Mantel projections must fall within the 12" (305mm) combustible Wall Projection
shown in Figure 3.1. The combined wall projection, finishing material, and combustible mantel cannot exceed a
12" (305mm) projection.
•
Combustible Wall Bump-Out / Projection: You are allowed up to a 12" (305mm) wall projection starting at the top finish-
ing edge.
Note: At no point can any material extend to the inside of the finishing edges. No material should block the viewing area or
glass of the appliance.
