Always carry out steps 1 - 6 under sterile conditions.
Set up and switch on

1. If necessary fi ll the water
lock
2. Connect canister to device
7. Switch on the device
10. Set target vacuum with + / -
Exchanging secretion canister
1. Prepare a new secretion
canister

3. Connect secretion channel
of hose system to secretion
canister
4. Connect measuring-/
rinsing channel of hose
system to device
Do not overtighten the
Luer-Lock connections!
Leakage test starts
automatically!
11. Adapt the connector to
patient catheter
2. Clamp the patient catheter
Do not clamp the hose
system!
5. Adapt the connector of
hose system to hose end at
patient side
Check the Luer-Lock cap of
connector for tightness!
8. Only proceed if the leakage
test is passed!
Only proceed shortly
before patient is
connected!
