COMMISSIONING
Always keep this manual either by the lifting unit
or in a place specially reserved for it, where it is
accessible for all operating personnel at all times.
In order to prevent damage or serious injury when
commissioning the lifting unit, the following
points must always be observed:
• Electrical engineering and mechanical settings as
well as commissioning of the lifting unit are only
allowed to be carried out by qualified and trained
personnel in accordance with the safety instruc-
tions.
• All persons working on or with the lifting unit
must have been provided with this manual and
have read and understood it.
• All safety devices and emergency cut-outs must
be connected and inspected to ensure that they
are working properly.
• The lifting unit is suitable for use under the speci-
fied operating conditions.
• Make sure a second person is present at all times
when you are working in the sump. If there is a
risk of poisonous gases building up, make sure
that adequate ventilation is provided.

6.1. Checking the installation/system

Commissioning may be carried out only if the
installation is complete, all relevant safety reg-
ulations (e.g. VDE regulations in Germany) and
regional regulations are met, and all the points
have been checked.
BEWARE of material damage!
If the installation and the following checks are
not carried out properly, the lifting unit may
become seriously damaged during operation.
Check the installation and carry out the fol-
lowing inspections.
6.1.1. Checking the installation
Check the installation to ensure all the necessary
work was carried out properly:
• Ground-fastening
• Mechanical connections
• Inlet with check valve
• Discharge pipe with check valve
• Venting via roof
• Electrical connection:
• Clockwise rotating field present.
• The lifting unit must be properly fused and
grounded.
• Assembling the switchgear
• Assembling the CEE-socket
• Laying the power supply cables
• Assembling the external alarm signal (optional)
• Assembling the diaphragm hand pump for emer-
gency draining
• System completely cleaned, especially of solid
matter.
6.1.2. Checking the system
Complete the following tasks before commis-
sioning:
Installation and operating instructions Wilo-RexaLift FIT L
Position of the venting screw on the built-in
non-return valve
Fig. 9.: Position of the venting screw
The venting screw must be unscrewed by at least
25 mm to ensure secure system operation. Check
the position of the venting screw.
If the venting screw is screwed too far in, this
can lead to damage on the valve and unit, as
well as to high noise development.
Function test for level control
The level control device must be checked to en-
sure it is in a fault-free mechanical state.
1.
Open the maintenance cover.
2.
Check that the float switch can move freely and
has a firm fit on the rod.
3.
Seal up the inspection opening again.

6.2. Operation

The lifting unit is operated via the fitted switch-
gear. The LEDs on the front and the buttons on
the side are used to execute and indicate switch-
ing on/off, automatic mode and to display the
individual monitoring facilities.
The switchgear is preset for operating the system.
The only setting that needs to be made during in-
itial commissioning is the pump's follow-up time.
See the installation and operating instructions
for the fitted switchgear for all the necessary
information about operating the switchgear and
the individual displays.

6.3. Rotation control

Rotation is controlled via the switchgear.
See the installation and operating instructions
for the fitted switchgear for all the necessary
information about the rotation control and any
troubleshooting.

6.4. Level control

The switching points of the level control have
permanent settings and cannot be adjusted.
6.5. Operation
6.5.1. Operating conditions
