Description
Heat sink for use only on computer models equipped with a graphics subsystem with discrete memory

Heat sink for use only on computer models equipped with Intel Core i7-8550U/i5-8250U processors and a
graphics subsystem with UMA memory
Heat sink for use only on computer models equipped with Intel Core i7-7500U/Pentium 4415U processors
and a graphics subsystem with UMA memory
Before removing the heat sink, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer
on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.

Remove the heat sink:

Discrete graphics: In the order indicated on the heat sink, remove the six Phillips M2.0×2.5 screws (1) that
secure the heat sink to the system board.
