NOTE: The hard drive spare part kit does not include the hard drive brackets or the hard drive cable. The hard
drive brackets are available using spare part number L19469-001. The hard drive cable is available using spare

Before removing the hard drive, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Remove the hard drive:
1. Disconnect the hard drive cable from the ZIF connector on the system board (1).
2. Remove the two Phillips M2.0×4.0 screws (2) that secure the hard drive to the computer.
3. Lift the inside of the hard drive up (3), and then remove the hard drive from the computer (4).
