Before removing the fans, follow these steps:

Prepare the computer for disassembly (see

Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see
Remove the fans:
1.
Disconnect the fan cables (1) from the system board.
2.
Remove the four Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screws (2) that secure the fans to the computer.
3.
Remove the GPU fan (3) and the CPU fan (4) from the computer.
On some models, a fan insert is installed instead of a GPU fan (3).
To install the fans, reverse this procedure.
