3. Disconnect all the peripherals that are attached to the system.
4. Remove the system cover.
5. Move the jumper on the system board from pins 2 and 4, to pins 4 and 6.
NOTE:
The existing passwords are not erased until the system boots with the jumper on pins 4 and 6.
6. After moving the jumpers, replace the system cover.
7. Reconnect the peripherals, and connect the system to the electrical outlet.
8. Power on the system.
9. Power the system off.
10. Disconnect the system power cable from the electrical outlet.
11. Disconnect all the peripherals that are attached to the system.
12. Remove the system cover.
13. Move the jumper on the system board from pins 4 and 6, to pins 2 and 4.
NOTE:
If a new system or setup password is entered with the jumper remaining on pins 4 and 6, the system disables the
password the next time it boots.
14. After moving the jumpers, replace the system cover.
15. Reconnect the peripherals, and connect the system to the electrical outlet.
16. Power on the system.
17. When prompted, assign a new system or setup password.
