Assigning programmes
Every tuner is assigned to an MPTS. The programmes of the tuner can only be assigned to the associated MPTS.
For example, click in table TUNER 1 on M1.
The program is assigned to MPTS 1. The button of the MPTS is highlighted in colour (a new click on a MPTS allow the
assignment to be cancelled. The button fades then again).
Chosen
programs for
MPTS 1
Choose the programs for TUNER 1 to TUNER 8/16.
Click on SAVE CHANGES.
The assignment is saved to the device.
Note: If the option is activated, then no settings can be made in the columns LCN, decrypt etc.
4.2.5.
MPTS – Cross Multiplex Mode
The cross multiplex mode is used:
•
To split the programmes of a transponder to several MPTS.
•
To merge programs of several transponders into one MPTS.
Transmission capacities in the distribution networks can be optimized.
Change the Network ID to a value greater than zero.
Click on SAVE CHANGES.
The IDs of the transport streams TS ID1 to TS ID8[16] are automatically incremented by one to eight[16], the cross multiplex
mode is activated.
Important:
If you use several MIP in a network, then the network IDs must be the same and the network name should also be the same.
Transport stream IDs, on the other hand, may only be assigned once in the network.
