Braking system
BRAKE FLUID IS HYGROSCOPIC; THAT IS, IT ABSORBS
MOISTURE FROM THE SURROUNDING AIR. IF THE CON-
TENT OF MOISTURE IN THE BRAKE FLUID EXCEEDS A
CERTAIN VALUE, BRAKING WILL BE INEFFICIENT.
Never use brake liquid in open or partially used containers.
Under standard climatic conditions, replace coolant as indicated in the scheduled maintenance table.
For refitting purposes carry out the removal operations but in reverse order and respect the tightening
torques of the tank cover screws.
Locking torques (N*m)
Brake pump reservoir screws 1.5 - 2
Front brake pump
Removal
- Remove the two screws, indicated in the photograph, fixing the brake pump to the handlebar - Remove
the oil piping connection to the pump - Remove the connector to the stop light switch.
Specification
Pump right piston diameter
Pump left piston diameter
Overhaul
Proceed as follows:
